Brief academic/work/professional background
Dr. Shiela N. Romero-Rabe is a graduate of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in this institution. She served as a Science Research Analyst in a PCAARRD-VSU funded project for the discovery of a novel herbal dewormer in goats called MCM dewormer. She is currently in her final stage for her graduate degree, Master of Science in Veterinary Medicine major in Physiology at University of the Philippines, Los Baños. Her research interest is inclined with basic researches in the field of Physiology, Pharmacology and EthnoVeterinary Medicine.

Interest
- Professional– Treatment of livestock animal diseases and discovery of novel drugs for treatment of animal diseases.
- Research & Extension– Currently, she is writing her Master’s thesis which is all about anti-inflammatory properties of two capsicum varieties in vivo and in vitro. She is also an actively involved in the extension projects and services of the College of Veterinary Medicine.
- Hobbies– She likes to cook, bond with her kids, do gardening, sing in videoke, watch movies and read books
