Anthony Douglas Williams said, “We have more to learn from animals than animals have to learn from us.”  Animals can be our best friend; they can be loyal to us; love us; and even serve us. They can defend and may die for us. For instance, dog truly welcome or get excited when they see us . When we are in sorrows and pain, animals can console us because they are sentient. They make funny tricks just to make us happy that makes the time surpass the sorrows that we feel.

The Dog Owners Club strongly supports and promotes responsible pet ownership. Acquiring pet is a personal commitment to yourself. It is a responsibility over the lifetime of the animal. We must be careful in choosing our pet where it must include the consideration of our home and family members.

Our club helps educate people how to care and provide the basic needs of their pets and not only limited to fur pets but also exotic animals. We help owners to understand that vaccines and deworming medicines are important preventative drugs. Vitamins and supplements are also a must. Our companion animals are just like our family members that need love, attention and affection.

Owning a pet is a privilege which should not be undertaken lightly. It is a duty that provides the welfare of the animal and to secure the public health of the society.

Before taking a pet, we must consider also the cost of every check-up which usually surprises every pet owner. It will cost you money until the lifetime of your animal. It includes the healthcare which may come unexpectedly. Various expenses needed in taking care of a pet should be taken into considerations.

As Mahatma Gandhi would say, “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”
