Welcome

The College of Veterinary Medicine is committed to helping the VSU and the neighboring community promote Responsible Pet Ownership (RPO). Responsible pet owners are also referred to as “pet parent” and implies our dedication to provide compassionate care and proper attention to our pet’s well-being. Moreover, this is in line with the government’s thrusts in the promotion of animal welfare (Animal Welfare Act of 1998) and eliminating rabies in our community (Anti-Rabies Act of 2007 (RA 9482).

The RPO-Information Management System (IMS) is our strategic leverage to consolidate dog/cat ownership within the VSU campus into one database. This will allow an all-time updated and secure information of the dog/cat ownership within VSU which will also serve as reference information during our rabies vaccination drive, info-health campaigns, and other initiatives of the college in the promotion of responsible pet ownership within the campus. The same list could be used by the VSU Security in identifying stray dogs/cats within VSU for appropriate action provided in existing university memoranda and ordinances by the Local Government Unit.
