Baybay City, Leyte – Three Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) students from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Visayas State University (VSU) have been awarded financial assistance by Charoen Pokphand Foods Philippines Corporation (CPF) as part of the company’s commitment to supporting education and developing future leaders in the veterinary field.

The recipients of the grant are Mr. Socrates D. Papa II, Mr. Ralph Dominique M. Rivas, and Ms. Maxyn Victoria L. Solas, all of whom are graduating in the 2025–2026 academic year. These students were selected based on academic excellence and financial need, the two primary criteria established by CPF to identify deserving beneficiaries.

The awardees were first recognized during the VSU Pasidungog 2025 ceremony held on July 23, 2025, at the VSU Gymnasium, and the financial assistance was formally awarded on August 15, 2025. This support will provide significant assistance to the students in completing their theses, a vital requirement for their graduation.

Dr. Harvie Portugaliza, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, expressed his appreciation for CPF’s support:
