The extension services of the College of Veterinary Medicine mirrors the functions of the University. It establishes linkages from both the local and external agencies for support as it conducts non-formal education and trainings for the community, perform development activities, and extends support to local government units (LGUs) and provincial veterinary offices for technical services.

In the last few years, numerous extension programs were performed by the College. Also, it involved interested students to participate and generate research topics from the extension projects. A number of graduates have successfully participated in and conducted their student theses in association with the extension projects of the College.

Some of the different project extension programs of the college that involve both the faculty and students are:

  1. Controlling Newcastle Disease in Smallholder Chicken Flocks in Leyte (2018- present)
  2. Enhancing Animal Health Services in the Province of Southern Leyte, Philippines (2019-present)
  3. MAGPANGUAPA Extension Project (2014-2017)
  4. Anti-Rabies Technical Services Program for the City of Baybay, Leyte (2010-2015)
