Academic/work/professional background

She has graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and passed the National Veterinary Licensure Exam in 2016. Shortly after, she worked as a resident veterinarian in a dog and cat veterinary hospital, the Cebu Veterinary Doctors. By the latter half of 2017, she has been accepted as a faculty member of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Visayas State University.

Currently, she works as a lecturer as well as a member of the extension and research projects of the college. She is also one of the attending veterinarians of the CVM Veterinary Teaching Hospital, as well as appointed as one of the librarians of the college library.

Interests

  • Professional – She is interested in Companion Animal Medicine, Fish Medicine, and aquaculture, and aspires to be a competent veterinarian that is capable of helping and educating the general public regarding animal health and responsible pet ownership.
  • Currently, she is a member of the New Castle’s Disease extension project, as well as the Zoonosis Surveillance research project in the College of Veterinary Medicine.
  • She is a visual artist affiliated with the Kasugbong arts group founded in Palo, Leyte, and has competed in the 1st National Watercolor Competition hosted by the Sihag Cebu Watercolor Society held in Cebu City. Aside from this, music is her guilty pleasure and loves to play the guitar and piano.
